State Police Make Arson Arrest Involving Fatal Fire

Kentucky State Police say just before 6 Sunday morning, they were called to investigate a house fire at 544 East Broadway Street in Winchester. 50-year-old Kenneth Payton died in that fire. Arson investigators determined the fire was suspicious and interviewed several witnesses who shared the home with Payton. 23-year-old Aaron Spence was arrested and charged with 1^st degree arson. State police have now opened a death investigation.
