The National Weather Service in Louisville says our area could receive a quarter of an inch to a half inch of freezing rain mix in the approximate time of 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Timing: Precipitation will spread into south-central Kentucky late this afternoon and expand quickly northeast, reaching north-central Kentucky and the Bluegrass region during the early evening. Expect a wintry mix of precipitation to continue into the pre-dawn hours Wednesday.
Sleet Accumulations: A period of sleet is likely tonight, resulting in accumulations up to half an inch.
Ice Accumulations: Freezing rain is expected to result in accumulations of up to a quarter inch of ice glaze, mainly from Hopkinsville and Bowling Green to Elizabethtown to Lexington.
Road Impacts: Air temperatures will remain steady between 30-32 degrees through the event. Road temperatures are mainly in the upper 30′s this afternoon but will drop overnight and with the onset of precipitation.
