A Madison County man’s family says he was nearly beaten to death outside a Richmond bar this weekend. Gary Phillips was found sometime late Friday night with a black eye outside the Hog Trough on Big Hill Avenue. Family members say Phillips is in intensive car on life support with brain damage.
