Madison County Man Accused of Killing Mother and Girlfriend Could Face Death Penalty

The Commonwealth’s Attorney says he will seek the death penalty for the Madison County man accused of killing his mother and girlfriend. 38-year-old John Payne will be on trial in April for the murder of his mother, Cornelia Gayle Mullins and his girlfriend, Meredith King in 2010.
