Citizens of Estill County have been considering a wet/dry vote for several months and after a petition came up with enough signatures to secure one, a date has been set. A special election will be held on January the 15th. The vote couldn’t be scheduled 30 days before or after the general election. Estill County Judge Taylor says he chose to have it after the election so he could have time to study regulations and procedures for wet/dry voting.
