Update: Berea Police say the injured cyclist is 20-year-old Shon Webster of Berea.
Berea Police say just before 12:30 this afternoon, a person on a bicycle was hit by a car. It happened on Highway 595 (Walnut Meadow Road) near the railroad crossing. The cyclist was taken to UK Hospital with serious injuries. An accident reconstructionist is on the scene and a section of Highway 595 has been shut down. No other information has been released.
