Chemical Leak in Jessamine County

Residents of 12 homes in Jessamine County were allowed to return to their homes this morning after a chemical leak last night. Crews cleaned up and cleared the scene on Industry Parkway in Nicholasville around 4 this morning. Officials say a tank with around 2,400 gallons of nitric acid leaked inside Aulick Chemical Solutions. They say the chemical leaked into the air which created concern about safety of those in the nearby neighborhood. No injuries or illnesses were reported.
